Who is the ACE quiz for?

Because adverse childhood experiences are linked to potential health risks, this quiz serves as a screening tool for anyone who’s wondering if they may be predisposed to certain health outcomes.

ACE increases the risk in a strong and graded trajectory for the following health problems:

What does ACE Score of 4+ mean?

● 5x more likely to experience depression
● 2x more likely to develop heart disease
● 2x more likely to have a stroke
● 3x more likely to contract Hepatitis
● 4x more likely to become a smoke
● 7x more likely to become an alcoholic
● 10x more likely to use IV drug
● 12x more likely to attempt to take their own life
● More likely to misuse prescription medications ● More likely to be violent● More marriage troubles● More broken bones

What does ACE Score of 7+ mean?

● People with a score of 6 or higher died nearly 20 years earlier on average than those without ACES. 
● An ACE Score of 7 (even if you do not drink, smoke, or overeat) you are 360% more likely to develop heart disease than someone without ACES. 
● Scores of 7+ have a 100% chance of developing a mental illness diagnosis (anxiety and depression being the most common
● 20 of 100 people with 7 ACEs attempted suicide.
● ACE Scores of 7+ are more likely to bounce between jobs, and relationships, and to struggle with stability and consistency. 
● ACE Scores of 7+ have less than a 50% chance of graduating high school, even less in graduating higher education including trade school.
